We Know the Work. We Care About Your Setup.

RedDirt is a WA family business shaped by more than 20 years of hands-on diesel mechanical, mining, maintenance and field-service experience. That background still drives the way we think about every trailer: make it practical, make it easy to work from and don’t add complexity unless it earns its place.

Why RedDirt exists

The problems were obvious once you had to work from the equipment every day.

RedDirt grew out of more than two decades of hands-on work around machinery, maintenance and field service. The same frustrations kept showing up: poor access, wasted space, equipment buried behind other equipment, controls in the wrong place and layouts that looked neat until somebody actually had to use them.

That experience became the starting point for RedDirt Trailers. Not “how much stuff can we fit into the brochure?” but “what does the person using this trailer need to reach, carry, power or service every day?”

The answer changes depending on the job. An electrician does not need the same trailer as a lube technician. A hydraulic hose technician does not need the same platform as a service crew carrying a compressor and generator. That is why the RedDirt range is split into purpose-built platforms rather than one trailer trying to be everything.

How we look at a trailer

Start with the working day.

Before the features, before the options and before the sales pitch, the trailer has to make the job easier.

  • What has to live in it? Tools, fluids, hose gear, compressors, generators or specialist equipment.
  • What needs fast access? The items you use all day should not be buried behind the things you rarely touch.
  • What systems actually matter? Power, water, reels, pumps, lighting and controls should have a reason for being there.
  • What environment will it work in? A metro trade business and a remote field-service crew need different priorities.
What matters to us

Practical beats impressive-on-paper.

A work trailer earns its keep by saving time, protecting equipment and making the day easier. Everything else is secondary.

Use the right platform Different jobs need different trailers. We would rather point you at the right platform than pretend one layout solves everything.
Access matters Storage is only useful if you can get to it. Drawers, doors, reels and controls should make the daily workflow quicker.
Systems need a purpose Power, solar, water, pumps and lighting should support the actual job — not just add another line to the specification sheet.
Straight advice Not every enquiry needs the biggest trailer or the most complicated setup. The right answer is the one that suits the work.
Where RedDirt sits

Heavy-industry experience. Applied properly.

Our background came from mining, machinery and field service, but that does not mean every RedDirt trailer needs to be treated like a mine-site trailer.

The lesson we brought across is simpler: understand the work, understand the failure points, make access sensible and prepare the trailer for the work it will actually do.

Tradesman Trailer Secure tools, organised access, power and water for everyday trade work.
Service Trailer Fluid handling, grease, waste oil, pumps and reels for machinery servicing and field maintenance.
Field Service Trayback Open equipment platform for compressors, generators, welders, skids and mounted systems.
Hydraulic Repair Trailer Specialist mobile hose repair capability for breakdowns, shutdowns and field support.

Real-world proof

The heavier end of the range is already out doing the job.

Two RedDirt Service Trailers were supplied to Water Corporation WA to support field-maintenance operations across Western Australia.

That does not make every RedDirt trailer a fleet or mine trailer. It does show the level of practical thinking and commercial expectation that sits behind the business.
